Summary

Saint Kieran Catholic Church’s motto is “Sharing Christ with all God’s people in and through the church”. Thanks to their partnership with Roncelli, Inc. the parish now enjoys an entirely renovated sanctuary and a new Day Chapel to live out their motto.

In celebration of its 50th Anniversary, Saint Kieran’s launched the design and construction of their legacy initiative, the complete renovation of their Sanctuary worship space. The project’s work scope included new pews, revisions to the altar layout and new windows. Related renovations included upgrades to the Ministers room, sacristies, baptismal font and a new Blessed Sacrament Chapel.  The former Sanctuary capacity of 928 was expanded to 1,058 seated parishioners. To allow for even more worshipers, a 166 seated Day Chapel was also constructed.

Keeping the Church open and entrances accessible during construction required constant coordination with Church Operations. To ensure safety to the facility’s users, Church/Youth activities were segregated from construction activities with temporary construction barriers and partitions.  In addition, the church utilized the existing Gymnasium for Mass during construction.  To address the interest of the St. Kieran community, special provisions were incorporated into the temporary construction barriers for parishioners to view the progress of construction.
