In the heart of Detroit’s New Center area, The Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network (DWIHN) transformed its current location on Milwaukee Avenue into Wayne County’s first of three Crisis Care Centers. At the helm of construction, Roncelli was proud to celebrate the grand opening and ribbon cutting on April 12, 2024.
The new facility providing adults and adolescents with short term crisis intervention services stands as a testament to collective efforts in prioritizing mental health support. This impactful renovation adds 36 beds to DWIHN’s Crisis Continuum and expands service hours to operate as a 24-hour Clinical Care Center.
The fully gutted renovation and building addition kicked off in Spring of 2022. Beyond the interior transformation, the exterior of the building received a facelift, further enhancing its functionality and security.
Gino Roncelli, President and CEO of Roncelli, expressed his pride and excitement in the completion of this project, stating, “At Roncelli, we believe in building more than buildings; we build spaces that nurture communities. The DWIHN Crisis Center embodies just that, and we are honored to have played a part.”
