Inside Roncelli’s C-Suite: 4 Key Executive Promotions

James “Jim” Carnacchi – Chief Preconstruction Officer

Jim Carnacchi, promoted from Vice President of Estimating, has taken on the newly established role of Chief Preconstruction Officer. With Roncelli since 1994, Jim leads the Preconstruction and Estimating Division, overseeing bidding, subcontractor selection, and accurate cost estimation. A graduate of Ferris State University, Jim holds a Michigan Builders License and certifications from LEED® and OSHA 30, reinforcing his critical role in strategic planning and project budgeting.

Michael Cairns – Chief Financial Officer

Michael Cairns has officially been announced as Roncelli’s Chief Financial Officer, a title he had functionally held prior to the leadership restructure. As CFO, he manages financial operations, accounting, and risk management. A CPA since 1994 and with Roncelli since 1999, Michael is also a former board member of both CFMA-Detroit and the Detroit Area Construction Association. He earned his BBA in Accountancy from the University of Detroit Mercy.

Paul Day – Chief Operating Officer, Core Markets

Paul Day, formerly VP of Construction Operations, is now Roncelli’s COO of Core Markets. In this role, he oversees project execution, performance standards, cost control, and scheduling. Paul joined Roncelli in 1994 and holds degrees in Civil Engineering (MSU) and Engineering Management (Oakland University). His leadership ensures project delivery excellence and team coordination across core market sectors.

 

Jereme Poxson – Chief Operating Officer, Specialized Markets

Jereme Poxson has advanced to COO of Specialized Markets after previously serving as VP of Healthcare. A Roncelli team member since 1998, Jereme now leads strategic operations across Healthcare, Education, Government, and select regional markets. A Western Michigan University graduate, Jereme brings decades of field experience and specialized market insight to this crucial role.
