Growth, Innovation, and Excellence

GROWTH, INNOVATION, AND EXCELLENCE

As Roncelli continues its incredible growth—expanding by over 50% in just the last few years—our commitment to safety remains stronger than ever. With more work comes more responsibility, and I’m proud to share some updates from the Safety Department that reflect how we’re rising to the challenge.

A Historic Safety Milestone

This year, Roncelli achieved an Experience Modification Rating (EMR) of 0.49—tied for the lowest in company history and only the second time we’ve reached this milestone. This EMR score is a reflection of our team’s dedication to creating and maintaining safe job sites across every project.

We’re also on the verge of another great achievement: 7 million hours worked without a lost time injury. To put that into perspective, that’s 19 years of work without a single serious injury that prevented a team member from returning to work the next day. This is a remarkable accomplishment, and it’s thanks to the focus, diligence, and teamwork of every Roncelli team member. We are on pace to achieve this goal by the end of the year. Keep up the great work!

New Markets, New Challenges

With Roncelli entering new markets—Solar, Education, and Mixed-Use developments—our safety program is being tested in new ways. These exciting opportunities come with unique risks, and we knew our approach needed to evolve.

To meet the moment, we launched a new Accident Prevention Program to replace our outdated Health and Safety Manual. This updated program ensures we’re equipped to protect our teams, trade partners, and communities—no matter the type of project or location. This will also play a factor in a great baseline for a new training platform in the future.

Growing the Safety Team

As our company grows, so does our Safety Department. We now have five dedicated safety professionals across the U.S. and Canada, including our newest team members, Quintin and James, who bring valuable expertise to our projects. With this expanded team, we’re more equipped than ever to provide the support our project teams need to succeed safely.

Technology That Supports Safety

A few years ago, we implemented Hammertech as our safety management platform because it offered what Procore (our primary operations platform) couldn’t. This year, Procore announced they’re developing a safety module that mirrors Hammertech’s capabilities. This is great news—it means we may eventually streamline all operations and safety processes on a single platform, reducing confusion and improving efficiency.

Until Procore’s module is fully developed and tested, Hammertech will remain in place for large projects to ensure we maintain high safety standards without interruption.

A Smarter Approach to Training

We recognize that with new markets, new hires, and evolving technology, training must remain a top priority. While in-person training is ideal, the reality of today’s decentralized workforce, spanning multiple states and even countries, requires a more flexible solution.

That’s why, starting late 2025 and into 2026, the Safety Department will be developing a centralized training platform. Our goal is to ensure every Roncelli team member has easy access to consistent, high-quality safety training—anytime, anywhere. Continuous learning will be the key to sustaining and exceeding our already excellent safety performance.

Looking Ahead

As we move forward, I couldn’t be more excited about what’s ahead for Roncelli and our Safety team. The accomplishments we’ve seen are the result of hard work and a shared commitment to keeping each other safe. Every team member, from jobsite to office, has played a role in our success—and we thank you.

Let’s continue raising the bar and setting the standard for safety in every market we enter!

Stay Safe and Healthy
