Construction Management

Our team was brought in under a construction management contract to thoughtfully renovate the existing 38,000 square foot building, transforming it into a space that both celebrates the past and supports the future.

The first floor was reimagined to support connection and education, featuring offices, classrooms, and banquet space designed to bring people together. These areas create opportunities for learning, collaboration, and community gatherings, all within a setting rooted in Motown’s influence and impact.

Above, the second floor serves a very different but equally critical purpose. Temperature-controlled vaults were constructed to safeguard priceless memorabilia, ensuring that artifacts tied to Motown’s legacy are preserved in a carefully controlled environment for generations to come.

This project required a balance of technical precision and thoughtful execution. From environmental controls to adaptive reuse of the existing structure, our work focused on honoring what the building represents while delivering modern functionality behind the scenes.

At its core, the Motown Esther Gordy Edwards Centre for Excellence stands as a bridge between history and progress. We are proud to have played a role in shaping a space where stories are protected, shared, and carried forward.
