Historical Renovation/Restoration
Roncelli has been selected as the Construction Manager for The Reckmeyer renovation project, a transformative development that will combine three historic buildings on Broadway Avenue in Detroit: the MacDiarmid Candy Company Building (1322), the Reckmeyer Building (1326), and the Michigan Cut Flower Exchange Building (1332). Located within the Broadway Avenue Historic District, these buildings hold historic designation and are part of a neighborhood that has shaped Detroit’s cultural and architectural landscape.
The district, with structures dating from the 1890s to the 1920s, was historically a hub for women’s trades and florists. Today, it is a vibrant cultural and entertainment destination, home to landmarks such as the Detroit Opera House, The Siren Hotel, The Metropolitan Hotel, the Detroit Athletic Club, Comerica Park, and The Belt.

The groundbreaking ceremony took place in October 2024, with the project scheduled for completion in early 2026.
