Roncelli was awarded a design-build contract for the construction of the Universal Dearborn Super Center project, an inter-modal logistics facility, by UTSI Finance Inc.

The project consisted of a 53,400-square-foot, single-story pre-engineered building that houses 13,000 square feet of office space, 40,000 square feet of maintenance and inspection areas on a 59-acre site.

Features of the building include nine truck and trailer service bays, five trailer inspection bays, an office area for 127 logistics operator positions, a conference and break room facility and truck driver locker and shower areas.

Partial demolition and remodeling was required of an existing cross docking building to create an updated six-position cross dock facility. Site work consisted of mass grading, site utilities, storm retention pond, site lighting, site electrical for truck heater facilities as well as security fencing and gates.
