40,300 SF Renovation – Bldg. G.
DTE selected Roncelli to perform construction improvements to the Warren Service Center in Detroit, MI. Before becoming a Service Building for DTE, the building was an automotive plant belonging to the Lincoln Motor Company. The 100 year old building was in need of a complete renovation.
Roncelli began renovations to the Warren Service Center in May 2019. The existing building was active and fully occupied during the entire renovation. All work was performed during normal business hours. The scope of work involved a 40,000 square-foot renovation of six areas of the center, which included training rooms, laboratory areas, offices, locker rooms, restrooms, and a cafeteria. Interior repairs were completed to the existing spaces to offer the latest technology for energy education and training. Roncelli oversaw extensive infrastructure upgrades, which included new structural platforms, air handling units, and HVAC controls. The Roncelli Self-Perform Group supported the project by providing miscellaneous concrete in-fills.
The Warren Service Center was on a fast track schedule and was successfully completed in September 2019.
