The Operating Engineers Local 324 Training Facility is a state-of-the-art center designed to provide journeymen and operating engineers with advanced training in heavy machinery and equipment operations. This cutting-edge facility spans approximately 89,000 square feet and features a high-bay indoor training arena reaching a height of 63 feet, equipped to accommodate large-scale machinery. The building includes a variety of specialized areas, such as mechanical repair shops, classrooms, truck wash bays, and a break-room. A conventionally built classroom wing on the west side of the structure offers five classrooms, a lobby, and locker facilities accessible from multiple areas.
At the heart of the facility is the high-bay Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB), which houses 53,835 square feet of training space, including a mezzanine for storage and an equipment platform. The facility also features a covered outdoor storage area, support spaces below the mezzanine, and convenient access to both training and support amenities. This modern training hub reflects Local 324’s commitment to preparing its members with the skills and resources needed for excellence in the industry.
