Summary

To accommodate the short seasonal downtime of the dining facility, Western Michigan University contracted Roncelli to provide preconstruction and construction Services to complete the design, pre-plan all of the work, and ensure material delivery. All of the work was completed within the allocated 90 day, fast track construction schedule.This project involves the complete renovation and upgrade of the food preparation, service and dining areas of the existing Davis Dining Hall on the campus of Western Michigan University. Renovations included ceilings, lighting, walls, floors, booths, food service equipment and counters.

Davis Hall provides the daily dining services for two adjoining student housing halls. The food court atmosphere of the renovated space features three unique choices; the “Deli Grille”, “Chef’s Table” or the “Coffee Shop”. The Deli Grille features fresh pizza, pasta, grilled sandwiches, soups and salads. The Chef’s Table offers main entrée’s and side dishes. The Coffee Shop features fresh fruit, juices, brewed novelties, teas and bakery products.

Upgrades were also included to the public and employee restrooms, food service management offices, employee break areas and the exterior food tubes, sidewalks and landscape areas.
