The LGCMI H-Project, located in Holland, Michigan is the first of three phases of proposed plant construction and consists of 615,000 square feet of manufacturing, assembly and storage space for lithium-ion battery production targeted for use in electric and hybrid electric vehicles (EV/HEV). Plant construction includes corporate offices, production and assembly areas and 120,000 square feet of special clean and dry rooms. The start of construction will coincide with the completion of the project’s building design, which seamlessly integrates the owner’s process and manufacturing equipment. The entire design-build process, including the installation of manufacturing equipment, will be completed within fifteen months. The project schedule includes five key milestones for turnover of critically sequenced areas for LGCMI’s testing and validation of the manufacturing processes. Roncelli will also assist in the equipment start up and lead the commissioning process for all systems.
